Smoke Alert 
If you look outside, there is a potential to see a Smokey haze in areas of the township and surrounding areas with possibly an odor of smoke. This condition is originating from large wildfires out west and Canada. With the weather conditions lately, the air travel could carry the smoke condition into the area over time. New Jersey Forest Fire Service is aware of the conditions and is monitoring. At this time there is no cause for alarm. But if you have a fire emergency please call 911 or West Milford Dispatch at 973-728-2800.
