New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces Road Closure on Old Rochester Road in Somersworth to Replace a Culvert
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will be replacing a culvert that will require a temporary road closure of Old Rochester Rd between the junctions of Blackwater Road and Laurel Road in Somersworth. The closure will take place from
5:00 AM Monday July 28th, 2025 to Friday August 1st, 2025 at 5:00PM
During this time, a detour will be in place to redirect through traffic at the junction of Long Hill Rd and Old Rochester Road. Traffic will be routed to NH Route 108, then to Blackwater Road, and back to Old Rochester Road. Detour signs will be installed to alert and guide road users throughout the closure. Local traffic will be permitted on both sides of the road closure.
Road Users are urged to use caution in the construction zone, obey all posted signage, and stay alert. Travelers are encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.
