Caltrans will close one direction of Interstate 680 (I-680) at the I-680 and Mission San Jose (SR-238) Separation/Overpass in Fremont to perform critical bridge and pavement work.
NORTHBOUND I-680 FULL HIGHWAY CLOSURE ON THE WEEKEND OF AUGUST 8, 2025:
Full closure on NB I-680 is scheduled on the weekend of August 8, 2025. A segment of NB I-680 will be closed and traffic will be detoured through the Mission Blvd/SR-238 Off Ramp towards Eastbound SR-84. Closures will start Friday August 8 at 10:00 PM and conclude on the following Monday August 11 at 5:00 AM.
NB I-680 DETOUR: Motorists traveling northbound on I-680 will need to exit right onto Mission Blvd/SR-238 Off-Ramp; Left towards NB Mission Blvd/SR-238; Continue on Mission Blvd/SR-238; Make a right onto Niles Canyon Rd (SR-84) and continue; Right onto NB I-680/SR-84 On-Ramp; Merge and continue onto NB I-680 towards Sacramento.
