Meridian Detectives Arrest Man Following Rape Investigation
MERIDIAN- At around 2:30PM today, Meridian Police Department detectives arrested 25-year-old male Erik CARRASCO BENITEZ, a Mexican citizen, for a violent Rape, following a multiple-week investigation into an incident first reported on July 5, 2025. This incident occurred in the 100 block of E Broadway Ave.
On that date, the female victim contacted law enforcement by waiving down officers shortly after the incident occurred. Detectives from the Meridian Police Department immediately began an investigation, which ultimately led to the identification and arrest of CARRASCO BENITEZ.
He was taken into custody without further incident and booked into the Ada County Jail on a charge of Rape.
