10:45pm UPDATE: Tsunami Warning has been downgraded to Advisory.

Tsunami Warning has been downgraded to an Advisory. This means that dangerous tsunami waves are no longer expected to impact the state. However, dangerous conditions are still possible in near-shore waters within the Hawaiian Islands. Use extreme caution when near or on the water.

Residents and visitors who evacuated may return home at this time. Please use caution and patience as traffic will likely remain heavy.

Due to the extended operations and ongoing responsibilities related to the tsunami warning of Tuesday, July 29, TheBus and Handi-Van may experience some delays and cancelations on Wednesday, July 30. No delays are anticipated for Skyline.

This will be the final update at this time. Should any changes in the situation occur, additional messages will be issued.

PACIFIC TSUNAMI WARNING CENTER 10:38PM UPDATE:

BASED ON ALL AVAILABLE DATA A MAJOR TSUNAMI IS NOT EXPECTED TO
STRIKE THE STATE OF HAWAII. HOWEVER...SEA LEVEL CHANGES AND
STRONG CURRENTS MAY OCCUR ALONG ALL COASTS THAT COULD BE A HAZARD
TO SWIMMERS AND BOATERS AS WELL AS TO PERSONS NEAR THE SHORE AT
BEACHES AND IN HARBORS AND MARINAS. THE THREAT MAY CONTINUE FOR
SEVERAL HOURS AFTER THE INITIAL WAVE ARRIVAL.
