San Mateo, CA – On July 29, 2025, at 3:56 p.m., the San Mateo Police Department responded to Safeway, located at 1655 S El Camino Real, for a report of theft of alcohol in progress. The suspect, later identified as Shannon Householder, attempted to strike a Safeway Loss Prevention employee with an alcohol bottle during the theft.
