FLOOD WATCH ISSUED FOR BERGEN COUNTY from 2:00 p.m. on July 31, 2025 through 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025. A widespread 1.5 to 3 inches of rain is likely, with localized amounts up to 5 inches. Rainfall rates could exceed 2+ inches per hour.
Scattered to numerous instances of urban, poor drainage and riverine flash flooding are possible. Localized severe flooding may cause an elevated threat to life and property, particularly Thursday afternoon and Thursday night.
Please monitor local weather conditions, local streams, flood prone areas, and be alert for any forecast changes. Please be sure to take appropriate mitigation actions to protect flood prone properties.
