WEATHER ALERT - STRONG STORMS THIS AFTERNOON MAY PRODUCE LOCAL FLOODING
A nearly stationary cold front is set up overhead, allowing pop-up scattered downpours and storms to develop as early as midday. Downpours peak in coverage in the late afternoon as a disturbance builds into the region. Torrential rain likely leads to areas of poor drainage and roadway flooding. Repeated downpours focused along the front through the afternoon and early evening can lead to locally significant flash flooding with a quick 2-4”+ possible.
