Severe Weather Alert – Flash Flooding & Storms July 31-August 1 
The National Weather Service forecasts widespread showers and thunderstorms this afternoon through tonight. The storms will be capable of producing rainfall rates exceeding 2" per hour at times. Rainfall amounts of 1-3" are generally expected, with localized amounts of 5-7" possible. Significant flash flooding is possible. A Flood Watch is in effect for the entire area from 2:00 PM this afternoon through 6:00 AM Friday.
⚠️ Flash flooding is possible with little warning. Do NOT drive through flooded roadways or around barricades. It only takes a few inches of water to lose control of your vehicle. Avoid unnecessary travel.
⚠️ Be alert for sudden road closures and emergency activity.
Township Offices will close early today, Thursday, July 31, at 1:00 PM.
