Wilmington Police arrest man in connection with carjacking: 
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with a carjacking incident.
On July 3 at approximately 7:25 p.m., police were dispatched to the 700 block of Townsend Place in reference to a carjacking that had occurred. Responding officers made contact with the victim, and recovered the unattended stolen vehicle moments later.
The case was assigned to Detective Brendan Wham of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Wham identified 19-year-old Shameiz Johnson one of two suspects involved in this incident, and obtained warrants for his arrest.
Johnson was taken into custody by the Delaware State Police, and has been charged with the following offenses:
- Robbery (First Degree)
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Theft Under $1,500
