The Kinnelon Office of Emergency Management has advised of a severe thunderstorm warning later today and into this evening for the Kinnelon and Northern NJ area as well as the entire state. A State of Emergency has been declared as of 2:00pm today due to the possibilty of a significant weather event. Please be aware of heavy rain, possible lighting strikes, and localized flooding. Seek shelter indoors and secure outside items from possible heavy winds. Avoid and report any down wires and avoid unnecessary travel.
