Due to the impending weather and NJ State of Emergency, all Monroe Township Offices: Municipal Building, Library, Recycling Center, Community Center, and Senior Center will close at 2:00PM today, July 31, 2025.
Acting Governor Tahesha Way has declared that New Jersey will enter a State of Emergency effective at 2:00 PM today due to the threat of flash flooding, severe thunderstorms, intense rainfall, and damaging wind gusts.
Forecast Highlights for Middlesex County:
Rainfall totals of 1–3 inches expected;
Localized areas could see up to 5–7 inches;
Risk of flooded roads, landslides, and rock slides;
Damaging wind gusts possible
Executive Order No. 394:
Declares a State of Emergency across all 21 counties;
Authorizes early closure of state offices;
Allows for the deployment of emergency resources statewide
Monroe OEM urges all residents to:
Monitor local forecasts and alerts
Avoid travel during heavy rain if possible
Never drive through flooded roadways
Secure outdoor items and stay indoors during storms
