The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for our area today, Thursday, July 31, at 2:00 pm until Friday, August 1, at 2:00 pm.
 
In addition, a State of Emergency has been issued and takes effect today at 2:00 pm and continues through tomorrow, Friday, August 1, at 2:00 pm.

Heavy thunderstorms are expected to begin this afternoon and continue through Friday afternoon. Current forecasts estimate 1 -2 inches of rain, with locally higher amounts possible. The heaviest rain will be late this afternoon through midnight.

Water runoff may result in flooding of creeks, streams and other low-lying flood-prone areas.
  
Township roadways may experience flooding throughout this rain event.
 
Detours and closures are possible.
 
Please be careful if you must travel.
Please do NOT walk or drive through flooded areas.
