Alert

Severe Weather Flash Flooding in effect for Burlington County thru 2400 hrs.

Today at 11:00 am, the State Office of Emergency Management hosted a weather call, which was attended by Burlington County Office of Emergency Management. During this time, a message was pushed out from the Governor’s Office that all State Offices will have an early dismissal at 1:00 pm today due to the flood watch issued in areas throughout the state.

The Acting Governor will be issuing a State of Emergency that will go into effect at 2:00 pm today.

The National Weather Service provided a brief overview, they are concerned because most of the state is a 3 (Moderate) out of 4 for the Flash Flood Risk, which is rare. Right now, none of the creeks and waterways are predicted to go into Flood Stage. We will be monitoring our gauges along the Delaware River and Rancocas Creek. The heaviest rain will be during the afternoon to evening today.
