Vehicle Accident & Animals
Bear Valley is home to many animals, both wild and pets. And unfortunately, sometimes accidents happen.
If you are in a vehicle accident involving a wild animal, call 661-861-3110 and report it to the Bear Valley Police Department. If the animal has been killed, this will alert police about a potential road hazard and start the process to have the body removed.
If the animal is wounded, the humane option is often euthanasia, which our officers are trained to handle.
If you are in an accident involving a pet, reporting it to Bear Valley Police allows us to attempt to make contact with the owner to ensure they are notified and the animal is properly cared for.
By reporting these accidents, you help keep our community safe and compassionate for both animals and people. We appreciate your support.
