LOCATION: 4000 Block of Lugo Avenue, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Yu Xiaolang, 38-year-old Resident of San Gabriel
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Thursday, July 17, 2025, a victim was contacted by an unknown suspect who claimed to be a customer service agent with a non-existent company. The suspect tricked the victim into believing she owed money for fraudulent charges on an account and the victim paid the suspect over $100,000.00.
On July 28, 2025, deputies identified and arrested Yu Xiaolang as he arrived at the victim's residence to collect more money. Xiaolang was booked at West Valley Detention Center for theft by false pretense.
