Wilmington Police arrest wanted Elsmere man in connection with aggravated menacing incident: 
Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted Elsmere man in connection with an aggravated menacing incident.
On July 29 at approximately 8:59 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of 2nd and Dupont Streets in reference to an aggravated menacing incident involving a firearm. Patrol officers identified the suspect, 33-year-old Dejuan Craig, and obtained warrants for his arrest. Police officers on patrol observed Craig operating a vehicle in the area on two subsequent occasions and attempted to conduct vehicle stops, but he fled each time.
On July 30, police received a call about a suspicious vehicle in the area of Lancaster Avenue and South Van Buren Street, and located the suspect’s vehicle unattended. Moments later, members of the Safe Streets Task Force located Craig walking in the 1200 block of Lancaster Avenue, and he was taken into custody without incident.
Craig, who was also wanted out of multiple agencies on unrelated matters, has been charged with the following offenses in addition to numerous traffic violations:
- Aggravated Menacing
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Disregarding a Police Officer’s Signal – Two Counts
