9th/Metro Precinct To Host Annual Back-To-School Bash, August 23rd at Lincoln Park 
The 9th/Metro Precinct will host its Annual Back-to-School Bash from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 49 Lincoln Park. The free bookbags are available to Newark residents with children ages 4-16. The event will also feature free school supplies, haircuts, basic hairstyling, food, and entertainment.

The City of Newark’s Department of Health and Community Wellness Mobile Dental Bus will also provide free dental screenings for children. Parents are required to complete a registration form to allow their children to receive the free dental screenings.
