Wilmington Police have arrested a man and woman following a drug investigation.
 
During the month of July, members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division conducted an investigation into drug activity in the 1700 block of West 3^rd Street. As the investigation continued, on July 31 at approximately 8:48 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division and the Safe Streets Task Force made contact with 29-year-old Donnell Gill and 29-year-old Jalone Nichols in the 800 block of West 6^th Street. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident, and police recovered a loaded .38-caliber revolver, 100.94 grams of crack cocaine, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and $3,435 in currency.
 
Gill has been charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
• Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 3 Quantity
• Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Two Counts
• Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Three Counts
• Conspiracy (Second Degree)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $304,400 cash-only bail.
 
Nichols has been charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 3 Quantity
• Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited
• Conspiracy (Second Degree)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $5,350 cash-only bail.
