Police Seek Help Identifying Theft Suspect

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with a theft that occurred between Thursday, July 24th, and Friday, July 25th, 2025.

A victim’s Trek Aluminum bike was removed from a building on Madison Street near Downing Street. The victim last saw the bike at 6 p.m. on July 24th and returned to retrieve it at 6:50 a.m. on July 25th to find that it was missing.

Detectives investigating this incident observed video surveillance footage of the suspect entering the 1st floor parking lot of the building and removing the victim’s bike from the rack.

Director Miranda urges anyone with information about the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
