Amarillo Police Department Community Assistance Release

The Amarillo Police Department is seeking the public's assistance regarding suspicious activity that occurred in the late hours of July 31 into the early hours of August 1, 2025, between 11:00 PM and 1:00 AM.
A male, described as wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants, NIKE athletic shoes, gloves, and a face mask, was observed on residential surveillance cameras in the City View area after a homeowner discovered that their property had been tampered with. This individual has also been reported to have been in the Scottsman/Hollywood area, checking vehicle doors and entering unlocked vehicles.
Additionally, investigations indicate that this male may be responsible for stealing a vehicle in the Greenways/Colonies area on July 29, 2025.
We urge residents in the City View, Scottsman/Hollywood, and Greenways/Colonies areas to review any home surveillance or doorbell camera footage from the specified dates.
