Flood Advisory until 10:45PM 
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the following counties, McDowell and Rutherford.
* WHEN...Until 1045 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 842 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.3 to 0.6 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rutherfordton, Lake Lure, Union Mills, Thermal City, Shingle Hollow, Fero, Green Hill, Sugar Hill and Glenwood. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Your message should describe the specific location where impacts occurred and the depth of flooding observed. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
