* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the following counties, Beaufort and Jasper.
* WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 648 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms with torrential rainfall extending from Laurel Bay east to south of Dale. As much as an inch of rain has fallen and additional 1 to 2 inches could fall through 8 PM, resulting in minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Beaufort, Port Royal, Ridgeland, Clarendon, Beaufort Marine Corps Air Station, Burton, Laurel Bay, Ladys Island, Dale and Shell Point.
* AFFECTED AREAS: BEAUFORT, SC ... JASPER, SC
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
