On August 2, 2025, at 10:18 PM local time, a magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck just northeast of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) registered the quake at a depth of 10 km, indicating a shallow event.
Shaking was felt lightly across parts of northern New Jersey, with a DYFI (Did You Feel It?) intensity of IV, suggesting light to moderate perceptible movement. No damage or power outages have been reported at this time. Emergency services remain on alert, but no disruptions have occurred.
