Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on August 3, 2025 at approximately 1917 hours, Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US 12 and Fir Rd., Milton Township, Cass County, Michigan. 

The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Bryce Yates (20 yrs old of Granger) failed to yield to oncoming traffic while attempting to make a left turn onto Fir Rd. The other vehicle driven by Michael Eroles (22 yrs old of Grovertown, IN) was heading east bound on US 12 when it crashed into Yates' vehicle. A Brenden Skorup (21 yrs old of North Liberty, IN) was a passenger of Eroles' vehicle and was transported by ambulance to South Bend Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.  Bryce and Michael were treated by EMS on scene.  

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this crash. Seat belts were worn at the time of the crash.

Assisting agencies were SMCAS Ambulance and Edwardsburg Fire Department.  

The incident remains under investigation.
