Highland Park's Parkstock Outdoor Concert Series - 8/7
The Borough welcomes New BrunsBrass (New Orleans Brass)
for the second Parkstock 2025 concert,
Thursday August 7th, 6-8 pm, Donaldson Park (Rescheduled from 7/31)
New BrunsBrass is a New Orleans-style brass band based in New Brunswick, NJ. They play traditional brass band repertoire as well as original arrangements of modern popular music.
Sousaphonist and leader Mike Noordzy formed the band in the spring of 2024 as an unofficial jazz ensemble with several of his students at Mason Gross School of the Arts. They soon started performing in the area at the Highland Park farmers market, Arts in the Park, Tavern on George in New Brunswick and a monthly residency (2nd Mondays) at Pino’s.
Band members include Ian Young, Kyle Courter and Mal Malone on trombone. Charlie Barber and Taj Walsh on trumpet. Jeremy Leon and Ed Crisonino on saxophone. Logan Bogdan, Don Solomon and Justin Vedovelli on drums.
Parkstock is a project of the Borough of Highland Park, NJ and is supported in part by the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
