1. Homicide (2101) 8600 Block of Santa Paula Way, Bear Creek District
Officers responded to a report of a person shot and located the male victim, 21, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives responded and assumed the investigation.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (2200) 1300 Block of East Market Street, Park District
The male victim, 23, was in the listed area when the suspect arrived and assaulted him. The suspect brandished a firearm at the victim, then fired rounds into the ground before fleeing in a vehicle. Officers stopped the car and took the suspect into custody without further incident. A loaded firearm was located. ARRESTED: Jose Calmo-Jeronimo, 31, for assault with a deadly weapon and weapon charges.
3. Negligent Discharge (0235) 300 Block of South Union Street, Seaport District
Officers responded to the listed area on a report of a subject firing rounds into the air. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle, and officers located him. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. ARRESTED: Luciano Diazbernabe, 39, for negligent discharge, weapon charges, and DUI.
4. Armed Robbery (0343) 2700 Block of Country Club Boulevard, Civic District
The male victim, 33, was working at an area business when the suspects entered, pointed a firearm at him, and demanded property. The victim complied and the suspects fled. SUSPECTS: Two Black male adults.
