Virtual community meeting on proposed redevelopment of 1417 Adams St. announced
Residents are invited to attend a virtual community meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 6 p.m. to learn more about the proposed redevelopment of 1417 Adams St.
During the meeting, the project team will present details of the proposed development, which includes the construction of a 9-story mixed-use building featuring 117 residential units including five workforce housing units and 26 affordable housing units.
The project is the result of a Settlement Agreement between the City of Hoboken and the site owner, Advance at Hoboken, LLC. As part of the agreement, 14 affordable housing units, which were originally required at the Harlow (1330 Willow Ave.) but have been delayed due to ongoing litigation, will be delivered through a new mixed-use building in addition to the12 units required as part of the City's 10 percent inclusionary housing requirement. Five workforce housing units, which will be available to Hoboken residents earning up to 120 percent of median household income, are proposed as part of the settlement agreement.
The proposed project plan also provides approximately 10,000 square feet of commercial space dedicated to a privately operated pickleball facility as well as a 3,000 square foot space for neighborhood retail at the corner of 15th Street and Adams Street.
Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more and provide feedback. No action will be taken by the governing body.
