Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. seeks the public’s help in locating Maria Fatema Soares, 61, of Newark, who was last seen on Monday, July 1, 2025, in the 100 block of Polk Street.
Ms. Soares is described as 5’4” tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes. She also has an infinity tattoo on her wrist. Ms. Soares is reported to be suffering from depression.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Maria Fatema Soares to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
