Lead Paint Inspections 
Hawthorne has initiated its lead paint inspection program by mailing letters ro landlords. New Jersey state law mandates lead paint inspections for all rental housing units built after 1978. LEW Environmental has to been contracted by the Borough to conduct these inspections and manage the process in Hawthorne.
