Trio Arrested for Copper Utility Cable Theft in Chino Hills

SUSPECT(S): Jonathan Medina, 28-year-old resident of Riverside, CA Brenda Sorianoyraheta, 28-year-old resident of Riverside, CA
Eric Lopez, 54-year-old resident of Riverside, CA
VICTIM(S): Frontier Communications
SUMMARY: On Monday, August 4, 2025, suspects cut and removed approximately $12,000.00 worth of copper utility cable belonging to Frontier Communications. At about 10:44 p.m., Eric Lopez, Brenda Sorianoyraheta, and Jonathan Medina were located in the area and identified as the suspects. The suspects were in possession of wire cutting tools, climbing harnesses, and shoe-spikes. All three suspects were arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center for grand theft.
