* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the following counties, Beaufort, Charleston, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper.
* WHEN...Until 845 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 544 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated numerous thunderstorms with torrential rainfall extending from Ashton south to Hampton, Furman and Yemassee. These storms will steadily build east through much of Colleton, northern Jasper and northern Beaufort Counties through 845 PM. Minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas is likely. If rainfall becomes more intense, a Flash Flood Warning may be needed for some areas. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Beaufort, Walterboro, Yemassee, Colleton, Varnville, Estill, Cottageville, Furman, Scotia and Luray.
