Heat Advisory until 07:00PM Wednesday

* WHAT...Temperatures up to 105 expected across the east central plains, including Tucumcari and Fort Sumner. Temperatures up to 100 expected across the Northwest Plateau, including Farmington.

* WHERE...Curry County, De Baca County, Quay County, Roosevelt County, Eastern San Miguel County, and Northwest Plateau.

* WHEN...From noon to 7 PM MDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A high risk for heat related illnesses will exist across these zones based on the NWS HeatRisk.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHWEST PLATEAU ... EASTERN SAN MIGUEL COUNTY ... QUAY COUNTY ... CURRY COUNTY ... ROOSEVELT COUNTY ... DE BACA COUNTY

Instructions:

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.
