Update: The area of 13th Av between Palm Av and B St is now clear emergency personnel. SMCFD determined the odor nonhazardous. 
**Update** 6:30PM- 13TH Av between Palm Av and B St is now open. SMCFD/county Hazmat team responded to scene and determined the odor emitting from a parked vehicle to be nonhazardous. The shelter in place has been lifted. The area is clear all emergency personnel. Thank you for your patience.***
8/6/25 @ 4:15PM- Road and Pedestrain access closure on 13th Av between B Street and Palm Av. SMC Fire and PD are investigating a gasoline odor coming from a parked vehicle. Please avoid the area. Closure is expected to be approximately 1 hour. Those residing on the 100 block of 13th Av please shelter in place until notified otherwise.
