INCIDENT: Homicide Investigation
LOCATION: 9800 Block of Third Avenue, Hesperia
INVOLVED PARTY: Danny Vicente, 36-years-old, Resident of Hesperia
DECEDENT: Anthony Lopez-Rodriguez, 37-years-old, Resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at about 5:21 p.m., deputies responded to a residence on Third Avenue after a male subject had been shot. When deputies arrived, they located Anthony Lopez-Rodriguez suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies and emergency medical personnel attempted lifesaving measures; however, Lopez-Rodriguez was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations – Homicide Detail also responded and assumed the investigation. Detectives learned a physical altercation occurred between family members prior to the shooting. Lopez-Rodriguez and Danny Vicente were both armed when Vicente fired his weapon and struck Lopez-Rodriguez. A report was taken and will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.
