The DC Department of Parks and Recreation would like to inform the community that, due to scheduled tree maintenance, the following locations will be temporarily closed today, Friday, August 8, 2025:
- Walter Pierce Dog Park (1971 Calvert St NW) - The dog park will close in the morning and reopen once maintenance is complete, around noon.
- Baseball field at 16th Street Playground (3149 16th St NW) - Work will begin along the third base line of the baseball field at approximately noon and the field will reopen when work is complete.
