Hawthorne water being supplied to PVWC and MUA during current emergency will NOT adversely affect Hawthorne customers 
To assist our neighbors in Prospect Park and North Haledon affected by the Passaic Valley Water Commissions' main break in Paterson, Hawthorne is supplying water via emergency interconnections to both PVWC in Prospect Park and the Manchester Utility Authority in North Haledon. Water will continue to be supplied until the PVWC is able to restore service.
This assistance wll NOT affect water availability to Hawthorne customers. Also, the NJ DEP has advised the Borough that these interconnections do NOT require an extension of the PVWC boil water advisory to Hawthorne customers since Hawthorne water quality will not be affected.
PVWC and MUA will be billed for water used.
