Apple Valley Man Arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon when He Fires a Gun Striking Two Men

INCIDENT: PC 245: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
LOCATION: Deep Creek Spillway, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Julian Tinoco Luna, 22 years of age, resident of Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): Confidential - Two Adult Males
SUMMARY: On Saturday, August 10, 2025, at 9:44 p.m., deputies responded to a 911 call at the Deep Creek Spillway in Apple Valley.
Two male individuals were at Deep Creek Spillway when they got stuck in their off-highway vehicle. They were approached by two Hispanic males who then shot at them. CHP Aviation was in the area and observed a vehicle leaving the area. Detective J. Dell stopped the vehicle and contacted Julian Tinoco Luna and another male. After a search of the vehicle, Detective Dell located three firearms. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Julian fired multiple gunshot rounds at both victims.
Both victims were transported to hospitals for gunshot wounds. After the investigation was conducted, Julian was arrested and transported to the High Desert Detention Center.
