Three Suspects Arrested in Rancho Cucamonga after Assaulting a Juvenile Victim

LOCATION: 12000 Block of S. Mainstreet, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT 1: Jacob Scott Hernandez, Age 23, Resident of Colton
SUSPECT 2: Luis Alberto Nunez, Age 29, Resident of Colton
SUSPECT 3: Bryan Carrillo, Age 26, Resident of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): Confidential Male Juvenile, Age 15
SUMMARY: On Sunday, August 10, 2025, at approximately 4:43 P.M., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station responded to a call for service for a robbery in progress at the location. The reporting party called and reported he had just been robbed.
Deputies arrived on scene within minutes and learned the suspects fled the location in a grey Infiniti before deputies arrived. Through investigation, deputies also learned the victim was approached by the suspects, later identified as Jacob Scott Hernandez, Luis Alberto Nunez, and Bryan Carrillo. When Carrillo and Hernandez approached the victim, they assaulted him and stole two yellow gold necklaces from his neck. The suspects fled the location in a vehicle driven by Luis Nunez.
An extensive area check was conducted, and deputies located the suspect vehicle a short distance from the incident location. Hernandez, Nunez, and Carrillo were detained and taken into custody. Medical personnel arrived on scene to evaluate and treat the victim.
Hernandez was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for PC211-Robbery, PC273A(A)-Child Abuse with Possible Great Bodily Injury, and an active felony warrant for 2nd degree burglary. Nunez and Carrillo were arrested and booked in at the West Valley Detention Center for PC211-Robbery, and PC273A(A)-Child Abuse with Possible Great Bodily Injury.
