Activity for August 13, 2025:
- Officer Elston was dispatched to the 1200 block of Laurel Lane for a personal welfare check. A 45-year-old female was transported to the hospital.
- Officers responded to the 300 block of West Michigan Avenue for a warrant pick-up. A 31-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- JPD members attended the final Summer Safety Series of 2025 at Kiwanis Park.
- Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Union Street for a civil standby. A 37-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officers responded to the 200 block of East Euclid Avenue for shots fired. The suspect fled from officers, but was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. A stolen firearm was recovered. The 18-year-old male suspect was arrested for resisting and obstructing; carrying a concealed weapon; and possession of stolen property.
