Crime Bulletin Covering the Week of August 4–10, 2025
When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street.
Robberies
There was one robbery during the past week.
On Tuesday, 08-05-25, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers were flagged down at the Target store at the Serramonte Center by a victim of robbery. The victim stated that while he was inside the store, two unknown suspects approached him and his friend, accusing the victim of having jumped their cousin. The victim was confused and had no idea what the suspects were talking about. One of the suspects took a chain necklace and a pair of shoes in a shopping bag from the victim. Both suspects then left Target. The victim described the suspect who took the items as a Black male, approximately 15 to 16 years old, about 6’1” tall, 140 to 160 pounds, and wearing all-black clothing. The second suspect was described as a Black male, approximately 12 years old, about 5’6” tall, 140 to 150 pounds, wearing all-black clothing and possibly a black puffer jacket. This investigation is ongoing.
Residential Burglaries
There were two residential burglaries during the past week.
On Saturday, 08-09-25, between approximately 4:15 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., on the unit block of School Street, a resident had a power drill, various tools, and an electric-powered scooter stolen from the parking garage of the apartment complex. A possible suspect was described as a male wearing a gray hooded zip-up sweatshirt and dark pants.
On Saturday, 08-09-25, at approximately 3:45 a.m., on the 700 block of Serramonte Boulevard, a suspect broke into the apartment complex’s secure bike area and stole a resident’s e-bike. This investigation is ongoing.
Commercial Burglaries
There were no commercial burglaries during the past week.
Vehicle Burglaries
There were two vehicle burglaries during the past week.
- 1100 block of Southgate Avenue—nothing was taken from a 2015 Lexus RC 350. The sunroof was broken. Occurred on 08-04-25 between 3:40 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. **Online report.
- 300 block of Imperial Way—an identification card was taken from a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta. The vehicle was possibly left unlocked. Occurred on 08-05-25 between 9:20 a.m. and 9:55 a.m. **Online report.
Stolen Vehicles
There were five stolen vehicles during the past week. Three vehicles were recovered.
- 200 block of Southgate Avenue—a theft of a 2005 Honda Accord. Occurred between 3:00 p.m. on 08-06-25 and 3:00 a.m. on 08-07-25.
- Unit block of Fairway Drive—a theft of a 2005 Yamaha YZF R1. Occurred on 08-08-25 between 7:20 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
- 7100 block of Mission Street—a theft of a 2015 Lexus CT. Occurred on 08-08-25 at approximately 10:55 a.m. At approximately 11:10 a.m., the suspect, a 27-year-old Daly City resident, was arrested and booked into jail for vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered by DCPD on 08-08-25.
- 7000 block of Mission Street—a theft of a 2008 Toyota Camry. Occurred on 08-09-25 at approximately 12:26 a.m. At approximately 12:46 a.m., the suspect, a 19-year-old San Bruno resident, was arrested and booked into jail for vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered by DCPD on 08-09-25.
- Unit block of Hillside Boulevard—a theft of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. Occurred on 08-10-25 between 3:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. At approximately 1:24 p.m., the suspect, a 29-year-old San Francisco resident, was arrested and booked into jail for vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, theft of lost property, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance. The vehicle was recovered by DCPD on 08-10-25.
Miscellaneous
- There were 121 cases taken.
- There were 9 domestic disturbance cases reported.
- There were 2 cases involving an involuntary psychiatric hold.
- There were 4 malicious mischief/vandalism cases reported.
- There were 3 cases for public intoxication.
- There was 1 hit-and-run collision reported.
- There were 8 narcotics-related cases taken.

City of Daly City Department of Recreation Services Hip-Hop Day
The City of Daly City Department of Recreation Services is hosting a Hip-Hop Day event on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the War Memorial Community Center (6655 Mission Street). Free Compost Giveaway
The City of Daly City is partnering with its waste hauler, Republic Services, to host free compost giveaway events. Compost will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Events will take place at the Department of Water & Wastewater Resources (153 Lake Merced Boulevard) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the following dates:

November 12-13, 2025
To participate in the compost giveaway, please bring a sturdy container, shovels, and gloves for this self-serve event. Residents must show proof of residency and are limited to five (5) 5-gallon buckets of compost per household. Events are weather permitting and will be canceled due to rain.

Limit 10. Please take only what is needed as supplies are limited. When filling sandbags, fill them only halfway, so they are not too heavy to lift and will stack properly.
