ONE INJURED BY TREE IN ROADWAY 
Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 08-14-2025 at approximately 2330 hours, his deputies of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash on Ironwood Rd, near Judy Ln, Township of Milton, Cass County Michigan.
The investigation showed that Joshua Gonzalez (38 years old from Niles, MI) was traveling northbound on Ironwood Rd. Gonzalez struck a tree that was in the roadway blocking both lanes of travel. Gonzalez’s vehicle became lodged under the tree, he was transported to Lakeland Niles Hospital for minor injuries sustained in the crash.
Gonzalez was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor.
Assisting agencies on scene were SMCAS Ambulance and Niles Township Fire Department.
