FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and
northeast Illinois, including the following counties, in central
Illinois, Livingston. In east central Illinois, Ford and Iroquois.
In north central Illinois, La Salle. In northeast Illinois, Grundy
and Kankakee.
* WHEN...Until 715 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Roads
and streets may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 520 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
producing torrential rainfall across portions of the advisory
area. Radar estimates that up to 2 inches of rain have
already fallen in some locations.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over portions of the advisory area. Runoff from the rain that
has occurred and additional rainfall will result in flooding.

Streator, Watseka, Marseilles, Dwight, Gilman, Clifton,
Milford, Chatsworth, Seneca, Gardner, Onarga, Forrest,
Sheldon, Odell, Mazon, South Streator, Cissna Park, Piper
City, Ashkum and Buckley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
