* WHAT...Continued flooding caused by overnight excessive rainfall is expected. This Flood Advisory is replacing the Flash Flood Warning that has been in effect.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Illinois, including the following counties, in east central Illinois, Iroquois. In northeast Illinois, Grundy, Kankakee, Kendall and Will.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may continue in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may still be flooded. High water likely may recede slowly from flooded areas. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 707 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated scattered heavy rain producing thunderstorms across portions of the advisory area. Radar and gauge estimates indicate that between 2 and 4 inches of rain fell overnight. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible over parts of the area. Runoff from the overnight rain and additional rainfall will result prolong the flooding in some locations. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kankakee, Bourbonnais, Yorkville, Bradley, Morris, Channahon, Minooka, Manteno, Braidwood, Wilmington, Coal City, Momence, Herscher, Clifton, Shorewood, Diamond, Elwood, Limestone and Gardner. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

A Flood Advisory means flooding along waterways and other poor drainage areas is already occurring. Persons in the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
