Hurricane Erin Watch and Advisory
The Deal Police Department Office of Emergency Management is actively monitoring Hurricane Erin. At this time, forecasts indicate that the storm is not expected to directly impact the U.S. coast. However, projections do show the system passing many miles offshore along portions of the East Coast by midweek.
We are advising all residents and visitors to avoid entering the ocean when lifeguards are not on duty. Over the coming days, wave activity is expected to increase and dangerous rip currents are likely to form.
We will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide updates as necessary.
