Police Seek Help Identifying Theft Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the female suspect pictured below, who took a package from the front porch of a home on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Police responded to the theft incident that occurred at approximately 4:52 p.m. in the 100 block of N. 11th Street. The suspect, captured on surveillance video, walked onto the porch and removed the package, a brown box containing a medical device for diabetes.
The suspect wore a burgundy sweater, pink pants, white and purple sneakers, and a black head covering.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
