Traffic Advisory for Route 202 – Today, August 19, 2025
Paving work on Route 202 is scheduled to begin Today, August 19, 2025, starting at 7:00 AM. The affected area will extend from Fulton Street in Boonton to Valhalla Road in Montville.
⏰ 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- One-way traffic only will be permitted from Boonton to Montville.
- No traffic will be allowed from Montville to Boonton on Route 202.
- A detour will be in place via:
River Road → Vreeland Avenue → Route 202 (Boonton) - Access to businesses between Vreeland Avenue and River Road in Montville must be made from the Boonton side.
- Route 202 will be fully closed between River Road and Valhalla Road for milling and paving.
- No traffic will be permitted in either direction through this section.
- Drivers traveling from Montville to Boonton must detour via I-287 South.
- Traffic traveling from Boonton to Montville will be detoured onto River Road.
- River Road (northbound) will be closed at Kanouse Lane. Vehicles will be detoured via Millers Lane.
