Road Closures due to downed trees and power line. 
Due to last night’s storm, there are fallen trees and power lines in several areas of town.
Currently, Hillcrest Road is closed between The Ledge and Sunset, and Sunset is closed between Pine Trail and Woodland. Additionally, Beach Lane is inaccessible from Hillcrest Road because of downed trees and power lines. Please avoid these areas until they have been cleared.
We understand that many homes may be experiencing power outages as a result of this situation. If you need assistance, please call Porter County Dispatch at 219-477-3170, and an officer will be dispatched to help you.
