Hudson County has informed the City of Hoboken that work on the Park Avenue Bridge will begin on Wednesday, Aug. 20, and will require the detour of northbound traffic on a portion of Park Avenue, weekdays, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Work is anticipated to be complete by Aug. 28
During construction, Hudson County will detour northbound traffic on Park Avenue to Willow Avenue between 14th Street in Hoboken and 19th Street in Weehawken. Variable messaging and detour signs are in place. According to the County, southbound traffic will be maintained at all times, and all lanes will be open to traffic outside of working hours.
This work is part of the Hudson County Bridge Rehabilitation Project, to improve infrastructure across the county. Work on the Park Avenue Bridge, connecting Hoboken and Weehawken, will focus on repairing and restoring the concrete substructure and the bridge deck.
