INCIDENT: Two Men Steal Trailer From Seller
LOCATION: 700 Block of Poplar Street, Big Bear Lake, CA.
SUSPECT(S): Anthony George, 42-year-old Riverside resident, and David Marks, 30-year-old Moreno Valley resident
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Saturday, August 9, 2025, at approximately 1:30pm, two men approached the victim at his residence to inquire about purchasing his camping trailer that was for sale. Both suspects and the victim agreed upon the $3000 price for the purchase of the trailer. The suspects paid the victim in cash. The victim put the cash away inside his office, where they completed the paperwork for the sale.
The victim assisted the suspects in hooking up the trailer to their vehicle. The suspects asked to use the victim's bathroom inside his residence. The suspects returned from the bathroom and immediately left the residence with the trailer. The victim returned to his office and noticed $2500 and the paperwork were missing. The victim immediately reported the trailer as stolen and deputies responded to the victim's residence to take the report.
On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, deputies conducted a follow-up investigation in Moreno Valley, CA. Deputies served two separate search warrants and located the stolen trailer and missing paperwork.
Deputies identified the suspects as Anthony George, 42, of Moreno Valley, and David Marks, 30, of Riverside. The criminal report was forwarded to the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office pending review and filing.
